
This may include wearing a mask if you have not yet been vaccinated or wearing a mask to comply with guidance in a work, business or community setting, or if you do not feel safe under the new guidelines. We especially want to be cognizant of those children and any other populations not yet able to receive vaccinations and do our part to keep them safe. Masks are currently required to be worn in all Village-owned buildings - Village Hall, the Library, Department of Public Works and the Police Department. The Village Board strongly encourages community members and visitors to follow the new CDC recommendations and guidelines cited at The Library Board adopted a policy requiring all patrons to wear a face covering when entering their space, no matter if the individual is vaccinated or not. All community members, no matter their vaccination status, are asked to wear masks indoors or when unable to socially distance from others and comply with all CDC guidelines. On August 16, the Village Board approved Resolution 2021-22, encouraging adherence to CDC guidelines concerning the use of face coverings and/or social distancing.

Milwaukee County is currently rated a substantial level of transmission. The Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) came out with a recommendation on July 27 stating fully vaccinated people shall also wear a mask in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission due the B.1.617.2 (Delta) variant.
